Taking Life For Granted

Taking Life For Granted?

Early this morning on the 9th of January at about 5:15 or so, a little ole lady who is 83 had called 911, reporting smoke in her home, and was advised to leave and that, help was to soon arrive.

A short time later, the Altus Police Department arrived, ran about breaking windows and calling inside to see if anyone was in need of help. A neighbor told the police that there was in fact, a lady living within the home and yet, not a single parson attempted to save her.

Several more minutes passed where upon the Fire Department arrived. They as was the police were advised there was a lady in the home. The fire department walked around the home and it was said, it looked like some kind of Chinese Fire Drill taking place!

Once the Fire Department believed the concerned neighbor, a member of same had entered the smoked filled home and located the little lady, on the floor of her bedroom. She was picked up and carried out where she was placed upon her lawn. A member of the Fire Department bent over, checked her breathing and pulse, then covered her up with a blanket.

A short time later, the EMS crew had arrived, removed the blanket from the lady, and proceeded to perform CPR. Would you believe, she started breathing? And to think she was declared dead for over 10 minutes! Note: A member of the EMS proceeded to chew some ass!

The lady was rushed to our local hospital, where she was airlifted to Oklahoma City. It was reported she is doing fine, (Considering her age.) but it was also said, she might have suffered some brain damage.

Question: Do you believe the City Of Altus should be held responsible, with action taking place against same? If so, what type of action? If not, why?
